Functions
Both hibiscus flower and leaves can be used as medicine. The hibiscus flower has the effects of clearing heat and cooling blood, reducing swelling and draining pus. It is suitable for fever, sore carbuncle, breast carbuncle, lung heat cough, pulmonary carbuncle and other diseases. It can also be used for uterine bleeding caused by blood heat, and it is often used with lotus shell. The function of hibiscus leaf is similar to that of flower. Generally, it is used for external application. It can reduce swelling and relieve pain. It is suitable for heat boils, boils, carbuncle, water and fire burns, and lumps caused by injections in the buttocks.
General dosage
Hibiscus flower 9-15 grams, 30 grams can be used in large doses, decoction. Apply appropriate amount of hibiscus leaves externally, wash the fresh leaves, mash them for external application, grind the dried leaves into fine pieces, called'Yulusan', mix them into a paste with honey water or sesame oil, apply to the affected area, and change the dressing every 24 hours. A cool feeling after application is a good sign.
